Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Brings Its Members Together with Korzinka, Uzbekistan’s Largest Modern Retail Chain

Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce brought its members together with Korzinka, Uzbekistan’s largest modern retail chain.

Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce continues to develop international business connections in order to increase the export potential of its members and strengthen their access to new markets. In this context, the “Uzbekistan Food, Cleaning and Hygiene Products Qualified Buyer Delegation and Business-to-Business Meetings Organization”, held with the participation of more than 100 companies from Gaziantep, was successfully completed.

Purchasing officials from Korzinka, Uzbekistan’s largest modern retail chain, visited Gaziantep and held one-on-one business meetings with GTO member companies operating in the food, cleaning and hygiene products sectors. During the organization, companies had the opportunity to present their products directly to purchasing officials and develop export-oriented business partnerships.

Korzinka, one of the strongest players in modern retail in the Uzbek market with a population of approximately 40 million, is seeking cooperation with Turkish suppliers across its wide product range. This created an important commercial opportunity for Gaziantep-based companies. GTO members operating in areas such as pasta, flour, dairy products, chocolate, confectionery, tea, coffee, vegetable oils and hygiene products showed strong interest in the two-day event held at GTO.

Evaluating the organization, Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board Tuncay Yıldırım stated that they aim to carry Gaziantep’s production strength to alternative markets and contribute to the city’s exports. Yıldırım said:

“Gaziantep is one of the leading cities of the Turkish economy with its production capacity, export experience and entrepreneurial spirit. We continue our efforts without interruption to help our members access new markets, establish sustainable export connections and increase their global competitiveness. The contacts we have established in growing and high-potential markets such as Uzbekistan will provide significant commercial gains for our members. During the organization, dozens of our members had the opportunity to hold meetings and introduce their products. I believe many of them will start exporting to Uzbekistan in the near future.”

International trade-oriented events will continue

Emphasizing that GTO stands by its members not only locally, but also at regional and global levels, Yıldırım stated that similar qualified buyer delegation and B2B organizations will continue in the coming period and said:

“As Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, we will continue to organize international trade-oriented events in order to expand our members’ foreign trade network and contribute to the export vision of our city.”

Korzinka Private Label Manager Tokhir Shokiraliev stated that they were highly pleased with the organization, held meetings with important companies, and that products manufactured in Gaziantep would soon take their place on Korzinka shelves. Shokiraliev also thanked Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce for the cooperation.
