MEHMET TUNCAY YILDIRIM

Mehmet Tuncay Yıldırım who was born in 1976 in Gaziantep, completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Gaziantep. He graduated from Muğla University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 1998 as an honorary student due to his success.

In 1999, he completed his short term military service in Lüleburgaz and in 2000, he studied English for 1 year in Bournemouth, England.

After returning from England, Yıldırım worked in the private sector for a while and founded T.T. Mühendislik Doğalgaz Isıtma Soğutma Havalandırma Sistemleri Makina Tekstil Turizm Sanayi Ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi in 2004, which operates in the field of mechanical installations. Later, he started to operate in the construction sector with MTY Enerji İnşaat Taahhüt Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi.  

Since 2009, he has been elected as a Council Member from the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, the largest umbrella organization of Gaziantep commercial life with more than 36 thousand members, from the No. 30 Plumbing and Excavation Services Occupational Group.

On the election of Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Organ Membership dated 2018, he was selected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce. On October 1, 2022, he was once again elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors in the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Organ Elections.

During Yıldırım’s Presidency of the Board of Directors, Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce achieved the most important achievements in its history and ranked first twice in the World Federation of Chambers Competition with the Project that realized.

It managed to become the first and only chamber of commerce in Turkey to receive the EFQM Competence in Excellence 5 Star Certificate". Again, during the Yıldırım period, Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce was entitled to be a CLASS A Chamber as the 2nd Chamber with the highest score among the chambers of commerce in the TOBB Accreditation System.

Mehmet Tuncay Yıldırım who has a very active and productive personality, has many titles on local and national platforms.

Mr. Yıldırım speaks English fluently and is married and has two daughters.
