Operating under the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce since 1996, the Gaziantep EU Information Centre organized an Erasmus+ event that created a dynamic platform for cultural exchange by bringing together Turkish and international students.
The event, held in collaboration with Hasan Kalyoncu University, welcomed students from 11 different countries who came to Gaziantep within the scope of Erasmus+, one of the European Union’s most popular and impactful programs. The gathering offered participants the opportunity to engage in dialogue, exchange experiences, and strengthen cross-cultural understanding with their Turkish peers.
During the program, Ms. Tuğçe Ayçil, Coordinator of the Gaziantep EUIC, shared insights on the activities of the EU Information Centres Network and the various initiatives carried out in Gaziantep. Additionally, Ms. Liudmyla Yıldırım, Assistant Specialist at the Directorate of External Relations and Project Development of the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, delivered a presentation on EU-funded projects and the Chamber’s externally supported activities. Her presentation also provided a comprehensive overview of the historical development and current state of EU–Turkey relations.
By the end of the event, a strong and effective communication network was established between European participants and Turkish university students, reinforcing the value of Erasmus+ as a bridge for mutual understanding and cooperation.
