The Project Fair featured 25 participants presenting unique and innovative projects, while the two-day Ideathon hosted 15 teams consisting of 47 participants competing intensively with their ideas.
In his opening remarks on the first day of the event, Mr. Tuncay Yıldırım, Chairman of the Board of Directors Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, began by applauding the young participants, emphasizing their courage and vision: “Because above all, you are courageous and visionary people. You have ideas, and you are not afraid to share and defend them. Perhaps today, you are presenting for the first time a project you have long been working on and developing. This requires great courage and self-confidence. Your presence here today shows that you are candidates to shape the future.”
Highlighting that today’s era can be summed up in three words—transformation, artificial intelligence, and sustainability—Mr. Yıldırım continued:
“The reason we are here today is exactly this: to support the ideas that will shape the future. Gaziantep is one of the capitals of entrepreneurship and productivity. In this city, where commerce and industry thrive, our support for innovation, technology, and young entrepreneurs is the greatest investment we can make in the future. As GCC, we carry out numerous initiatives to encourage young people’s participation in the entrepreneurship ecosystem and to help them turn their ideas into projects. This event is one of them.”
