SILK ROAD GAZIANTEP CENTER FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Silk Road Gaziantep Center for Information Technologies and Social Entrepreneurship was established under the Social Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Cohesion Project (SEECO), implemented by the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality. Designed to provide a modern, digital-based and inclusive center for all entrepreneurs—particularly women, youth and social entrepreneurs—the project aims to strengthen the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, facilitate access to technology, and support innovative business models.
Within the scope of the project, a computer lab, a digital content production lab, a VR technology lab, as well as training and meeting rooms were established; the entire furnishing and technical infrastructure of the center were equipped with modern furniture, machinery, and equipment. Between 2024 and 2025, 18 training programs and workshops were organized at the center, covering topics such as digital marketing, software academies, generative artificial intelligence, clean energy solutions, and social entrepreneurship camps, with a total participation of 523 individuals.
The center serves a target audience composed of 50% host community members and 50% members of the guest community, predominantly women (80%) and youth (20%). Through ecosystem meetings, B2B sessions, and entrepreneurship camps, partnerships have been strengthened, and all activities at the center have been promoted in line with the visibility guidelines of the EU, the World Bank, and the Silk Road Development Agency.
With its modern infrastructure, inclusive training programs, and collaboration opportunities, the Silk Road Gaziantep Digital and Social Entrepreneurship Center continues to be a leading platform for social entrepreneurship in Gaziantep.
