Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce supports its members in increasing their competitiveness in international markets and building sustainable export capacity through the International Competitiveness Development (UR-GE) Projects it carries out within the scope of the Ministry of Trade's Export Incentives under Law No. 5973.

In this context, a UR-GE Project was successfully completed in 2012 in the knitwear sector with the participation of 17 companies, providing firms with needs analysis, training and consultancy services, overseas marketing activities, and buyer delegation organizations.

In 2025, the PlastExport Project was launched in the plastics sector with the participation of 15 companies and is continuing successfully. Within the scope of the project, needs analysis and target market identification researches have been completed; training and consultancy activities have been planned according to the companies' needs. Going forward, with the relevant support mechanisms, overseas marketing programs, bilateral business meetings (B2B), international trade fair visits, and buyer delegation organizations will be carried out, aiming to increase the companies' access to new markets and their export capacity.

UR-GE projects encourage companies operating in the same sector to act jointly through a clustering approach, strengthening the sharing of knowledge and experience and enabling the development of solutions for common needs. Thanks to this cooperation model, companies achieve a stronger position in international markets, while the competitiveness and export performance of the sectors are also sustainably increased.
