According to earlier data obtained, the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce (GTO) was founded in 1898 under the name "Chamber of Agriculture, Trade and Industry.

Since its inception, the Chamber was of great importance in the development of industry and commerce in our city, contributing to the economy of the city and country.

Today, and acting as the industry benchmark has been very effective activities for the realization of important works in the city, especially in the creation of so-called "Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zones" and "Small Industrial Zones.

The Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, has emerged as a leader in the internationalization of firms for 100 years. Through the Information Office for the EU, the Center for European Information and Innovation, and the Center for Business Development EU fulfills its mission to inform and raise awareness throughout the region and businesses in EU related issues and makes a special effort in bringing the city into the future as part of the EU.

The Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce aims to make Gaziantep priority in commercial, financial, cultural, tourist, congress and the Middle East diplomatic and directs its activities to that end. It has to do with the support of all institutions and government agencies and civilians and want to get the city to have a voice on the world and in Turkey.

The Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, always sensitive to the problems of the country and the region, plays a significant and effective role in city development and implementation of various projects carried out within programs such diverse forums as cooperatives, consumer associations and Quality, Gaziantep Free Zone SA, Foundation for Strengthening the Economy of Gaziantep, Association of Southeast Anatolia Exporters l and its institution.

Some major projects carried out by the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, are:
